<p>Nosso objetivo é iniciar o Estudo de Funções e, para alcançá-lo, vamos utilizar a tecnologia dos Applets JAVA, denominhados por nós como MPD (Material Pedagógico Digital)</p>
<p>A Figura abaixo pode ser vista como o “corte” em uma vasilha com laterais retas (ângulo de 90º ) com a sua base. Esta vasilha deverá ser cheia (a uma vazão constante) com um líquido azul.</p>
<p>O MPD fornece a relação, expressa em forma do gráfico da direita, entre o tempo t gasto e a altura h do líquido na vasilha. </p>
<p>Clique na Figura para acessar o MPD e verificar outras situações ao aumentarmos ou diminuirmos a base da vasilha.</p>

<p>Acesse o MPD (clique na Figura acima) para fazer os exercícios que seguem:</p>
<p>1.-Descubra o formato do gráfico e confirme sua descoberta fazendo uma simulação utilizando o MPD. </p>
<p>2.-Verifique os valores das alturas da água em 10 valores do tempo a sua escolha.segundos.</p>
<p>3.- Descreva, em português, a relação entre as alturas e os tempos.</p>
<p>4- Encontre a diferença entre as diferentes alturas nos tempos escolhidos nos itens 2 e 3 acima. Alguma conclusão?</p>
<p>5.-A medida que o tempo passa a altura da água aumenta ou diminui? Justifique.</p>
<p>6.- Descreva, em linguagem matemática (por meio de uma função), a relação entre a altura h e os tempo t.&#160; Justifique.</p>

<p>As propriedades dos determinantes, que discutiremos a seguir são válidas quaisquer que seja a ordem dos determinantes. No entanto, nas demonstrações que seguem, utilizaremos determinantes de ordem&#160; 2&#160; e 3, para facilitar a compreensão.</p>

<p><strong>1ª Se trocarmos duas linhas ou duas colunas de uma matriz quadrada, seu determinante troca somente de sinal.</strong></p>

<p><strong>9ª Se todos os elementos de uma linha ou coluna de uma matriz quadrada se descompõem em duas somas, então seu determinante é igual a soma dos determinantes que têm nessa linha ou coluna o primeiro e a segunda soma respectivamente, sendo os elementos restantes iguais aos determinantes iniciais.</strong></p>

<p><strong>10ª Se uma linha ou coluna de uma matriz quadrada é combinação linear de duas ou mais das linhas ou colunas restantes, seu determinante é zero.</strong></p>

<p>O conhecimento destas propriedades dos determinantes nos permite, por exemplo, simplificar o cálculo de determinantes de ordem maior que&#160; 3, aos quais não podemos aplicar diretamente. a regra de Sarrus. Como comentamos antes: &quot;<em>para calcular o determinante de uma matriz de ordem 4 é necessário calcular&#160; 4&#160; determinantes de ordem&#160; 3. E se a matriz for de ordem&#160; 5, teríamos que calcular&#160; 20&#160; determinantes de ordem&#160; 3&#160; (uma vez que ao desenvolvermos os adjuntos de uma linha ou coluna qualquer obteríamos&#160;&#160; 5 determinantes de ordem&#160; 4&#160; e, cada um destes, por sua vez,podemos decompor em&#160; 4&#160; determinantes de ordem&#160; 3).</em>&quot;</p>

<p>No MPD acima implementamos o processo para calcular um determinante de ordem 5&#160; buscando &quot;zeros&quot;, até chegarmos em uma matriz de ordem&#160; 3,&#160; a qual podemos calcular diretamente aplicando a Regra de Sarrus. </p>
<p>Para utilizar o MPD, entre com a matriz usando as setinhas da parte inferior ou, caso digite com o teclado (até duas casas decimais) aperte a tecla ENTER depois de digitar cada número. Após entrar com a sua matriz, clique em passos (localizado na parte superior) para ver os detalhes do processo. </p>
